Oma Camp Omaha

I was told that Oma stands for Grandma in Spanish, so am thinking Oma Camp Omaha makes a good title for the would-be summer camp being created in my mind. Imagine a camp that lasts for one week, hosted by Grandma (that's me). We spend days hiking the river, swimming in the lake, visiting the art museum, riding horses and volunteering at the soup kitchen. The participants are 3 grandkids, ages 5, 9 and 12, all cousins. Billy says, "now that I'm 12, I'm too old to visit Grandma in the summer, I'm ready for camp!".

Well Billy, I think I better be ready to create camp, since I'm not willing to give up summer visits from you or the other grandkids. Buccaneer Bay is a great place to host camp, and we could invite others to attend one day at a time. We could set up tents overlooking the beaver dam, make a trip to the Space Musuem or even visit the world-class Henry Doorly Zoo. Now the challenge is to convice Billy to squeeze Oma Camp Omaha into his busy summer baseball schedule while managing to find a week between school and work schedules along with R/T transportation from San Diego to Omaha.

Wish me luck!
